Upcoming Forum for 4th District Supervisor Seat
The Santa Cruz County Business Council and the Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture would like to invite you to be part of a public candidates forum of those running for the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors 4th District seat. This forum will include five candidates- Dr. Nancy Bilicich, Jimmy Dutra, Felipe Hernandez, Leticia Mendoza, and incumbent Greg Caput. This free public event will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at the Watsonville Community Room and will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of this event is to introduce the community to their possible candidates for this important seat. This public forum allows a rare opportunity for local individuals to see all the candidates in one place and to hear their position about the issues that matter most to them. This forum will provide the opportunity to get real answers from those who seek to represent the 4th district on the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors, under the moderation of The Santa Cruz Sentinel Steve Bennett.
The Board of Supervisors is empowered with both legislative and executive authority over the entirety of Santa Cruz County and is the primary governing body for all unincorporated areas within the County. The Fourth District represents the southernmost district of the county with nearly the entirety of the city of Watsonville as well as the surrounding unincorporated areas of the Pajaro Valley.
This forum marks the first forum for this particular race, for which the election will be in November of this year. This forum will provide the candidates an opportunity to share their potential goals and strengths to those they seek to represent.
This event is free and open to the public.
