Primer on local county, city council and water board races
SCCBC does not formally endorse or contribute to political campaigns, though we do keep a watchful eye on how local races are shaping up. Over the past few months, SCCBC staff followed races taking place throughout the County by the following actions:
- Meeting informally with individual candidates to learn more about their views on issues of importance to the business community
- Sitting in on deliberations by other local organizations that are endorsing and financially supporting candidates
- Attending local candidate forums put on both other interest groups
Again, we do not endorse, so you will not find us making a plea for any particular candidate. Rather, we will simply share information about each race and ask that you make sure to vote on November 4th for who you best feel will represent the interests of the local business community. If you have any questions about the candidates, and the research we have conducted, please give us a call or shoot us an email.
