Dignity Health Dominican Hospital has been caring for the Santa Cruz County community for 75 years. Dominican offers emergency services and is a Certified Stroke Center and a Certified Chest Pain Center. Dominican’s services include the only comprehensive Cancer Center in Santa Cruz County, a Total Joint Replacement program, advanced neurological and endoscopic services, and an expert heart and vascular team treating some of the most complex cardiac cases in the Monterey Bay area. Dominican has received national recognition for superior patient safety, cardiac care, and stroke treatment from Healthgrades, a leading provider of comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. Dominican also has received several awards for environmental excellence.

The Dominican Hospital Foundation is honored to support the award-winning work of Dominican Hospital through philanthropic contributions from members of the community and local businesses. One of our initiatives  this year are the Healing Courtyards, an important project that will leave a lasting effect on Dominican Hospital and our community. Research based studies with actual patients showed that access to a garden can speed up healing from surgery and infections and reduce the need for pain medication, resulting in fewer post-surgical complications and less hospital time. Four courtyards are being transformed on Dominican campus to reduce stress and promote healing in patients, staff, and visitors. Recognition opportunities are available and range from $1,000-$500,000. To learn more visit www.supportdominican.org and click on What We Support.
